World Intellectual Property Day
On April 26, 2024, Rayburn College observed World Intellectual Property Day. The event, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), took place in the college’s Conference Hall. The seminar featured a presentation by Ms. Niangthianmawi, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Rayburn College.
She discussed the importance of Intellectual Property (IP) and its role in fostering innovation, creativity, and economic growth. She explained various types of intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents, and emphasized the need to protect these assets to encourage ongoing development in the arts, sciences, and technology.
The event aimed to educate attendees, including students, faculty members, and intellectual property enthusiasts, about intellectual property rights and their role in fostering innovation and creativity. Following the presentation, there was a question-and-answer session, allowing participants to engage with the speaker and gain a deeper understanding of the subject.
