Emergence of ICT plays pivotal role in dissemination of information in more convenient and efficient manner in the form of digitization, through internet web-based globally.
Web-based information resource has become an inseparable part of today’s higher educational system. Libraries are now arranging providing access to various learning resources in through web-based.
N-LIST Consortium stands for “National Library and Information services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content”. Formed under the Initiative of MHRD, Funded by UGC, Maintained and developed by INFLIBNET. This web-based information resource provides academic related information (e-resources) for most colleges and academic institution all over the country since its inception in 2010 under the initiative of MHRD. Being consortium it later incorporated with e-ShodhSindhu, IIT Delhi, INDEST-AICTE since 2014.
This seminar has been conducted to let academicians in Rayburn Colleges’:
- Aware about the importance of N-LIST, explore the abundances of scholarly content and peer reviewed e-resources availability through this online e-resources consortium.
- Aware about the important role of Library in relation with ICT.
- Accessing information in order to attain knowledge in more economical, convenience and efficient manner pertain to their academic career.
