Lecture series on Zo History-II “Treaty of Kaparang (1875)”

The lecture series commemorating the 149th anniversary of the Treaty of Kaparang (1875) was held on April 10, 2024, at the Conference Hall of Rayburn College.

Dr. Ginneihching Simte, Assistant Professor of the Department of History, Rayburn College, served as the host for the event.

Mr. Pumzadou Thangsing, President of the Zomi Chiefs’ Association GHQ, delivered the keynote address, followed by a presentation by Jangkhongam Doungel, Professor of the Department of Political Science at Mizoram University.

The event also featured a panel discussion led by Dr. Nehkhomang Haokip, Head of the Department of Political Science at Rayburn College.

The event was jointly organized by the Zomi Chiefs’ Association GHQ and the Department of History, Rayburn College.
