Faculty Orientation Programme

The Faculty Orientation Programme at Rayburn College was held on 8th July 2024, to induct new faculty members and acquaint them with the college’s regulations, academic processes, and administrative functions. The day’s events were meticulously organized and featured insightful sessions by key college officials. Rev. Dr. Khen P. Tombing, Principal, opened the programme with a warm welcome and an inspiring exhortation speech.

Session I: Service Rules & Policies: Dr. Samuel G. Ngaihte, Registrar provided an overview of the college’s service rules and policies, emphasizing key regulations and procedures faculty members must adhere to.

Session II: Academic Affairs: Mrs. Mercy Chingnunhoih, Academic Dean discussed academic policies, curriculum planning, and faculty responsibilities in ensuring academic excellence.

Student-related Matters: Mr. T. Tawnkhansiam, Dean of Students addressed student affairs, including support services, student engagement, and disciplinary policies.

Examination-related Matters: Mr. Liankhoshyam Tunglut, Controller of Examinations explained examination protocols, assessment methods, and grading policies.

Session III: IQAC-related Matters: Dr. Siamkhanthang Neihsial, IQAC Director highlighted the role of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in maintaining and enhancing academic and administrative quality.

Dr. Kh. Thianminlian Vaiphei, Vice-Principal provided closing remarks, summarizing the day’s discussions and encouraging faculty members to actively participate in college life. Evan. N. Thangkhansiam, Counsellor and Chaplain concluded with a prayer fostering a sense of community and shared purpose among the participants.
