Department of Physics

The Department of Physics at Rayburn College was established in the year 2020 with a goal to achieve academic excellence in the field of Physics. As one of the oldest branches of pure science, the department believes that the knowledge of physics is a doorway to some of the most beautiful and profound phenomenon in the universe, able to take the students on a transformative journey where they look at the world from a larger and more encompassing perspective. Besides enabling the students to uncover the deepest secrets and mysteries that lies within the universe and beyond, it allows them to be responsible humans who care for the universe and respect it. The department currently offer a 3 years course in BSc. Physics and a 4 years (Hons) course in BSc. Physics as per NEP 2020.

• To impart quality education both in theoretical and experimental physics through effective teaching-learning process.
• To inculcate truth and fundamentals of Physics while promoting enthusiasm and research interest.
• To support the development of the college by encouraging students to participate both in co-curricular and extra-curricular events.
