Constitution Day Celebration 2024

Department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS, Rayburn College successfully celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November, 2024 at Rayburn College on the theme, “Our constitution – a living document”. As part of the celebration a Declamation contest was held with the topic, Justice Delayed is Justice Denied. Nine students from BA 2nd, 4th semester and MA 3rd semester from Department of Political Science participated. Niangliankim from BA 2nd semester won the Declamation contest; with Jammuankim and Vungbiaksang from MA 3rd semester coming in 2nd and 3rd place.

Dr. Nehkhomang Haokip, HoD Political Science gave a Salutatory note and give a speech on why we celebrate Constitution Day and the importance of it. During the programme the Preamble was read, and the National Anthem was sung led by BA 2nd semester students. The celebration ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. Paolenthang Khongsai.
