The College Development Committee (CDC) is the apex body of the institution that plans and executes developmental activities. The College Development Committee of the institute was set up in 2021. The College Development Committee is a very effective body in Rayburn College, which serves as a link between the colleges, student community, and Administration. Intending to establish a functional interface between various agencies, the University Grants Commission (UGC) introduced the College Development Committee (CDC) concept in the 1980s. Given the substantial growth of the Indian higher education system with fast increasing autonomous colleges, innovative teaching, and learning methods, change in pedagogical perspectives as well as the challenges emerging out of socio-political and economic policies concerning education, the CDCs have emerged as vital forces that frame collegiate education policies aiming at an inclusive quality education. Numerous innovative schemes and best practices were introduced at Rayburn College, funded by the College Development Committee (CDC), and dealt with all the issues relating to College Development.
