A 3-Day Awareness Program on “Use of Mobile Applications for Digital Payment, e-Governance Services, IT Applications, Cyber Security, IT Act 2000 & IT Act (Amendment) 2008 for Women” was successfully conducted from 20th to 22nd January 2025. The program was jointly organized by the Women Development Cell and Information Technology (IT) Centre of Rayburn College, implemented by the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Imphal, and funded by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.
The sessions, facilitated by technical expert/resource person, Mr. Ginsianmuang Tombing, focused on equipping women with vital digital skills. The program featured interactive discussions, enabling participants to adopt secure digital practices and effectively utilize e-governance tools. Special emphasis was placed on understanding cyber laws, including the IT Act 2000 and its 2008 Amendment, to promote a safer and more secure digital environment.
This initiative significantly enhanced digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and legal knowledge among women in the Northeast region, contributing meaningfully to their empowerment and inclusion in the digital economy.
