A talk on Churachandpur-Mao Fault Line was conducted by Geography Dept. on the 29th October 2021 in Geography- Honours room, Rayburn College. Paukhankhual Tonsing, Asst.Professor of Geography was the resource person who delivered an informative talk on the geologic fault line between Churachandpur and Mao towns of Manipur; the fault line on which one of the most important national highway of India (NH-2) runs; and the impending threat perception from it being an earthquake-prone zone/line. Around 35 students and all the teaching staffs of Geography Department participated in the program.

Niangpi Guite, Asst Professor of Geography, convened the details of the proceeding as Dr. S. Thangboi Zou, HoD of Geography, welcomed the student audiences. Dr. Chinglianmawi thanked all the teacher and student participants for giving their valuable time in this short meeting, and appreciated the technical department for their assistance. She also conveyed message of gratitude to the college authority for providing refreshments to all the participants.
