Rayburn College recently concluded its 4 Week-long Faculty Development Program on the theme “Philosophy of Research Practice”, where Dr. Brainerd Prince, Associate Professor, and Director of The Centre for Thinking, Learning & Communication, Plaksha University served as the Resource Person. The program, which was undertaken by the initiative of IQAC and the Research 7 Development Cell of Rayburn College, commenced on the 13th of January, 2025 and concluded on the 6th of February, 2025.
The 8 session course focussed intensively on both the philosophy and the practice of research in accordance with global standards of academia. The sessions were designed to equip scholars with the necessary academic and cognitive skills required to undertake sound research conceptually, and all foundational skills required to undertake research projects and publish as a reputed scholar.
The Program was limited to 25 participants in total (to allow the resource person to focus on the research interests/projects of each of the participants), and saw 14 participants from Rayburn College, Churachandpur, Manipur; 2 from Northeast Hill University, Shillong; 2 from Churachandpur College, Manipur; 2 from Manipur University, Manipur; 4 from Dhanamanjuri University, Manipur, and 1 from Acts Academy of Higher Education, Bangalore.
