An exceptionally enlightening seminar was organized for the students of Economics and Commerce. Assistant Professor Emmanuel Lalneimawi Hmar had the honor of being the first speaker, delivering the introductory speech and outlining the seminar’s agenda. During this session, students gained awareness about the background of the budget particularly the Union Budget of India, its significance and its role in an emerging country like India.
The second resource person, Assistant Professor Khaigoulen Touthang continued the discussion by highlighting the key features of the Union Budget. Participants were taught about various indicators of economic health, such as fiscal deficit, current account deficit and more. Trends related to these indicators over the years were meticulously examined. Additionally, the allocation of funds across different sectors for the fiscal year and priorities for Viksit Bharat(Developed India) were thoroughly discussed.
Overall,the seminar provided valuable insights into the future challenges and opportunities for India on its path to progress and development. Lastly, it is important to acknowledge that the success of this seminar was made possible by the support of the parent college in terms of monetary funds and moral encouragement.
